Our Volunteers

Emily Williams

Emily Williams

"I am currently an undergraduate at the University of Exeter, studying economics so the Exeter Pound is very relevant to me! During my time with Exeter Pound I have been involved in talking to traders, writing the newsletter and manning stalls at events. I love the Exeter Pound because of all the values it stand by and because of the people that volunteer and hope to be involved with the Exeter Pound well after my degree finishes."

Kay Powell

"I am a student at Exeter University, passionate about supporting local business and building a strong local economy. As well as volunteering for Exeter Pound I also work as a student mentor and support worker at the University."

"I study geography at university, but when back home in Exeter I enjoy the wide variety of volunteering roles that the Pound offers. I'm passionate about environmental and economic sustainability, and enjoy seeing Exeter become more resilient through a hands-on, community approach."

Matt Rogers

Matt Rogers

With over 15 years experience in the creative industry as both a Graphic Designer and Art Director, Matt now works as a freelancer and is at the helm of all things design for the Exeter Pound. Highlights so far have included the 2017 Guide and the limited edition £E4.50 note.

"Between drawing Exeter's iconic architecture, conceptualising the look and feel of the upcoming website and having the privilege to design one of the notes myself, its been a fantastic opportunity working for the Exeter Pound. I love what I do and to apply my skill set in a way that engages on a community level, bringing positive social and economic change to this great city is what I feel most passionate about."
